Having user roles to manage client permissions seems like a very helpful feature. Fluent Forms does this very well. Here’s how their screenshot looks like.

If you’re trying to maintain robust security by limiting the role capability and providing “editor” roles to clients then it would be easy to check the editor checkbox so they too can have access to WpDataTables.
