In the past, the search field didn’t announce that it was a search when navigated with a screen reader. That has since been fixed, but one issue remains: the field does not announce how many entries appear after searching or how many exist in total. This is helpful context that is missing for a user navigating with a screen reader. When a user types a keyword or term into the search, the screenreader should announce something like “Showing one of one entries.” This context is physically written below the table, but the user with a screen reader doesn’t get that info until they get down to that area.
